MORE INFORMATION
Encore Occasions has chosen to participate in the RIP.ie REMEMBERS Walk during the month of March 2026. As part of our work, we provide music for many funeral masses each year and felt it fitting to walk in memory of the individuals we have had the honour of serving through music.
We wish to invite all families who we have worked with, all of our musicians and the parishioners of St. Anthony’s Parish, Clontarf to join us for a special Remembrance Mass, which will be celebrated by Fr. Larry White on Sunday, March 22nd at 11am. A group of our musicians will be present to play music throughout this special mass, as we remember those we have lost.
The national RIP.ie “Walk to Remember” encourages participants to complete their own 20km walk during March. Our group will walk 12km of the 20km alone and in our own time, followed by the final 8km together. Parishioners, musicians and family members are invited to join the 8km walk from St. Anthony’s Church carpark after Mass to the Statue of Our Lady on Bull Island and back. This is a simple reflection of how much of grief is carried privately, yet certain steps can be strengthened when shared.
As part of this initiative, Encore Occasions has chosen to raise funds for Breast Cancer Ireland – a charity that is dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer – a disease that touches countless lives across Ireland and beyond. Many families we have worked with and colleagues within our music community have been affected. Through this initiative, we hope to support vital research as Breast Cancer Ireland dedicates their work to researching a cure.
You can support our fundraising efforts by donating via our Fundraising Page (link below), sharing the page with others and/or joining our Team. All information is available via the link below.
Our online Fundraising Page will remain open for donations throughout the month of March. Donations are facilitated by RIP.ie and donated monies go DIRECTLY to Breast Cancer Ireland.
At mass on 22nd March, there will also be collection points, where cash donations can be accepted.
