OUR TALENTED MUSICIANS
Never compromising on quality, Encore Occasions prides itself on working only with Ireland’s finest professional musicians, many of whom have been part of the team for 15+ years. Together and as individuals, they are highly regarded, professionally trained recording and concert artists who regularly play in both orchestral and solo settings. They feature on television, on movie soundtracks & album recordings and have shared the stage (or recording booth) with classical artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Pavarotti, Katherine Jenkins & Josh Groban and contemporary acts like Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, George Michael, U2, Kanye West & Michael Buble. Naoise knows how very lucky she is to have the trust and constant support of these wonderfully talented musicians, who have accompanied her on this journey for the last 17 years.

We are regularly asked for special combinations of instruments and singers. We have a roster of other singers we can call upon, from male tenors and female trios, a mini gospel choir and on occasion, full classical choral backing. Harp is a regular feature in our ensembles and oboe or trumpet can be arranged to provide for specially requested pieces.

OPTIONS
For a funeral mass, it is usual to have a solo singer and one accompanist. We arrange this very regularly and our most popular option is singer & piano.
Some families prefer harp or guitar, which we often provide also, subject to availability.
Something Extra (3 performers)
When a family wishes to elevate the music, adding a single violin or cello or flute can achieve this beautifully. Whilst absolutely not necessary, this subtle addition brings a rich layer of colour to the voice and main instrument, creating variation with solo moments and instrumental pieces.
Ensembles (4+ performers)
Lastly, many of our families choose to have a small ensemble of musicians. This often involves pairing a piano with one or two string instruments (or trio or quartet), or incorporating a flute, guitar or an Irish touch with uileann pipes or Irish whistles. We frequently arrange such ensembles for our families and are used to organising everything within the short time frame of funeral planning.
